Sea moss is a form of algae that is rich in iodine, potassium, magnesium, manganese, and many other minerals and vitamins. Sea moss is best known for its ability to dissolve catarrh which is the build-up of mucus in an airway or sinus cavity of the body. The body will produce excess mucus in response to inflammation in the body. Overproduction of mucus can lead to frequent coughing, congestion, or the formation of mucoid plaque in blood vessels or the digestive tract making it challenging for the body to optimally function. Sea moss is a natural substance that helps to safely remove excess mucus from the body.
We offer two different forms of sea moss gel. Our golden sea moss comes from the sea moss species Gracilaria or Eucheuma cottonii. This sea moss is a form of red algae and is high in Vitamin D and is sourced from Jamaica and Vietnam. Our purple sea moss gel is from the species Chondrus crispus. This moss is sourced from the coasts of Massachusetts and contains high levels of healthy fatty acids.
Ingredients: sea moss and spring water
Suggested use: Take a minimum of 2 tablespoons per day. The gel can be taken directly by mouth, or blended into a smoothie, or dissolved into a cup of warm tea. The gel can also be applied as a face mask. Place 1 teaspoon into hands, rub hands together, and apply evenly on clean face. Let sit on face for 30 to 45 minutes until dry. Rinse off face with warm water.
Keep refrigerated. The sea moss jar is good in the refrigerator for up to four weeks from the packaged date which is displayed on the jar. Unused portions can be frozen in a freezer-safe container for up to a year.
